Public Library

The Free Library Buildings were erected along with the Town Hall out of public subscriptions in the year 1887, as a memorial of the Jubilee of the late Queen Victoria. The library contains about 6,000 volumes. The expenses of maintenance are met out of 1d. rate levied under the Public Libraries Act. Councillor A. H. Partridge, J.P., Chairman of the Committee.

Darlaston and Moxley Police Force

The Police Office is in Crescent Road. The force consists of one inspector, two sergeants, and twelve constables and together with Moxley, where there are two constables stationed, forming a sub division of the Wednesbury Division.

Petty sessions is held at the Town Hall, Darlaston, every alternate Wednesday. Special Sessions and Licensing Sessions are also held.
