Numbers 1 and 2 Church Street.

Grade II listed building, listed on 16th November, 1976. The two shops date from the late 19th century and are built of brick with stone or stucco dressings and a slate roof. Sash windows are fitted on the top two floors and the middle bay is flanked by pilaster strips. The first floor windows have painted stone or stucco lintels and sills continued as flush bands. The second floor windows have glazing bars and a flush sill band.

For over a century number 1 was a chemist's shop and remained so until comparatively recently when Boots the Chemist's moved from here into King Street.
