Pinfold Street, Bull Stake, Walsall Road, and Crescent Road

Pinfold Street was the town's second most important shopping area after King Street. It was an old and important route through the town, and had several 19th century pubs and the Wesleyan Chapel built in 1810.

The photograph was taken in the mid 1960s after Appleyard's drapers shop on the extreme left had closed. It was soon occupied by Middleton's Toy Shop which can be seen 4th from the left.
