Society of Genealogists - details of the Society and how to contact professional genealogists
The National Archives - a PRO site which can search the catalogues of most record offices in England.  A search for a name may well produce results from unexpected places and sources.
Free Genealogy Resources - Useful tools for the genealogist.
Family, Local, American, and World History Collection  - An extremely useful resource.
