Wellington Terrace, Becket Road, Bilston

The whole of this modest terrace has been built with a string course of glazed bricks.  On the upper level there are, at irregular intervals, decorative panels of glazed brick, of two different designs.  There is also this name stone:

I have never seen anything like this in Bilston or Wolverhampton.  Is it common elsewhere?  What can one call it - vernacular ceramics?
