Wolverhampton's Locally Listed Buildings

38 Clifton Road

Tettenhall

Local Listing:  Small, mid-C19 detached villa, two storeys.  Shallow pitched slate gable roof.  Chimneys with original buff pots.  4 pane sashes ground floor, 12 pane sashes first floor.   Painted stone lintels and sills.

Comment:  A pleasant building, its date and style probably significant to the history of how Tettenhall developed.  The front door at the side is not uncommon for this period and somewhat earlier.  Something has happened to the brickwork on the front elevation but the building is still well worthwhile looking after.
