Listing: Railway under bridge to high level line. 1848, widened on the west side c 1870 and 1880. Oval cast iron plate: 1880 Erected by the Horseley Iron Company Ltd. Henry Woodhouse, Engineer. Included for group value.

Comment: The roadway under the bridge was lowered to allow trolleybuses to pass underneath. The paint scheme is bright and modern but not quite what might have been in mind in either 1848 or 1880. The "group value" refers to the collection of railway monuments in the immediate area.
