A SHORT HISTORY OF TETTENHALL

1.  Contents

Almost everything in this short history is taken from Geoffrey Hancock's "A Tettenhall History", published by Broadside, 1991. We are very grateful to the author for allowing us to treat his work in this way. But we must make it clear that he is not responsible for the selection and interpretation. It will also be obvious that this short history is but the bare bones of the matter. The original book contains much more information as well as a great deal of illustrative material and different pictures. And this version in no way captures either the readability or the good humour of the original. Some copies of the book are still available and it is strongly recommended.

You can read the sections in any order by clicking on an underlined title above  to reach each section and then clicking on the button at the bottom of that section marked "Return to Contents".  Or you can read the sections in order by clicking on "The earliest times" above and then clicking on the button  marked "Go on to next section" at the bottom of that, and each succeeding, page.  On each page there is also a "Return to previous section" button if you want to review the previous page.
