| Throughout the 1950s and 1960s expert photographer and
railway enthusiast, the late Lionel J. Lee toured the
country, photographing the changing railway scene, at a time
when steam was giving-way to diesel and electric traction.
His lovely photographs from half a century ago, will
recapture memories for older people, and introduce younger
people to rail travel in the days of steam.
I have to thank Lionel's widow for allowing me to copy
some of his many 35 mm negatives. |
